Bring your own device (BYOD)—also called bring your own technology (BYOT), bring your own phone (BYOP), and bring your own PC (BYOPC)—refers to the policy of allowing employees to bring personally owned mobile devices (laptops, tablets, and smart phones) to their workplace, and to use those devices to access privileged school information and applications. The phenomenon is commonly referred to as IT consumerization. The term is also used to define the same practice applied to students using personally owned devices in education settings for use in programs such as Kahoot!.
Reasoning from the above statement and the case study.BYOD requires numerous technological devices that can be used in class to obtain data needed for learning.
  • Work effectively as a group to list technological devices that can be used to promote BYOD,in a classroom environment.List the advantages and disadvantages for such device/s.A representative from each group will have to present the findings.Once all the groups have presented,the entire class will be afforded an opportunity to engage on the content that shall have been presented.
